The Meaning of Uric Acid

The meaning of uric acid is a purine metabolic waste substances from the food we eat. This is also a byproduct of the solution in the blood cells.


Purine itself is a substance found in every food that comes from living bodies. In other words, in the living body there is this purine substances, and because we eat these living things, then it moves purine substances into our bodies. Various vegetables and fruits are also purine. Purine also resulted from the destruction of body cells that occurs normally or because of certain diseases.


Normally, uric acid will be released in the body through the feces (feces) and urine, but because the kidneys are unable to remove uric acid that is causing rising levels in the body. Another thing that can increase uric acid levels is that we consume too many foods that contain lots of purines. Excess uric acid will then be collected in the joints, causing pain or swelling.


Patients with gout after undergoing appropriate treatment can be treated so that the levels of uric acid in the body back to normal. But because the body there is the potential buildup of uric acid, it is suggested that control food intake so as to avoid foods that contain purine lot.


Symptoms of Uric Acid


1. Tingling and shooting pain


2. Pain especially at night or early morning waking


3. The affected joints appear swollen uric acid, redness, heat and tremendous pain in the night and morning.


Solutions, Overcoming Acid Urat


1. Doing treatment until uric acid levels returned to normal. Normal levels are 2.4 to 6 for women and 3.0 to 7 for men.


2. Control of food eaten.


3. Drink plenty of water. With drink plenty of water, we can help remove the existing purine in the body.


Avoid foods (containing many purine)


1. Side dishes such as offal, liver, kidney, spleen, tripe, intestines, lungs and brain.


2. Seafood such as shrimp, clams, squid, crabs.


3. Food cans are like corned beef and sardines.


4. Meat, eggs, broth or a thick gravy.


5. Nuts such as soybeans (including processed products like tempeh, Tauco, oncom, soy milk), peanuts, green beans, bean sprouts, melinjo, emping.


6. Vegetables such as spinach, kale, cassava leaves, asparagus, cauliflower, green beans.


7. Fruits like durian, avocado, pineapple, coconut water.


8. Beverages and foods containing alcohol such as beer, whiskey, wine, tape, toddy.
